ភាពជាអ្នកដឹកនាំ Leadership



និយមន័យ​ ភាពជាអ្នកដឹកនាំ Some Definitions of Leadership:


  1. Leadership is a process whereby an individual influences a group of individuals to achieve a common goal.
  2. Leadership is the influencing process of leaders and followers to achieve organizational objective through changes.
  3. Leadership is the behavior of an individual... directing the activities of a group toward a shared goal.
  4. Leadership is the influential increment over and above mechanical compliance with the routine directives of organization.
  5. Leadership is the process of influencing the activities of an organized group toward goal achievement.
  6. Leadership is process of giving purpose (meaningful direction) to collective effort, and causing willing effort to be expended to achieve purpose.
  7. Leadership is the ability to step outside the culture... to start evolutionary change processes that are more adaptive.
  8. Leadership is viewed as the focus of
    group processes
    – the leader is at the center of group change & activity & embodies the will of the group.
  9. Leadership is viewed from a
    personality perspective
    – this suggests that leadership is a combination of special traits or characteristics that individual processes & that enable them to induce others to accomplish tasks.
  10. Leadership is defined as an
    act or behavior
    – the things that leaders do in order to bring about change in a group.
  11. Leadership is defined in terms of
    power relationship
    that exists between leaders & followers – leaders have power & wield it to effect change in others.
  12. Leadership is viewed as an instrument of
    goal achievement
    in helping group members achieve their goals & meet their needs. This view includes leadership that transforms followers through vision setting, role modeling, & individualized attention.
  13. Leadership is viewed as
    situational
    – a leader matches his/her style to the competence & commitment of the subordinates or followers. Effective leaders are those who can recognize what employees need & then adapt their own style to meet those needs.
